Links. My Sites. Here are some of the sites I have designed and developed (or am still in the process of) Visit Buxton. I have produced this site in collaboration with Michael Clement, who has an excellent eye for design. It is to promote Buxton as a tourism destination. Since we handed over the job, it has had a redesign - including the introduction of frames, so the online version is not entirely what we intended. Fula. This is the band I am in. I recently redesigned the site, and have made use of PHP & MySQL to produce my own guestbook code. Derbyshire Greenpeace. I am a member of Buxton Greenpeace, which is one of four Greenpeace groups in Derbyshire. Our Area Networker asked me to produce a web site for the Derbyshire groups. The Coming Events section is pretty much redundant now (a new nationwide site takes on that role) so I will remove that bit soon. Probably replace it with some pictures! Watson & Co. This is a site I have produced for Watson Mailey and his huge entourage of muso-chums. See photos and listen to music from the two successful gigs they did last year! ABIS. The Association of British and Irish Showcaves. Another one I developed with Mike. This uses PHP to load in the information for the different showcaves. It validates to HTML 4.01 Strict, and meets W3C Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines - something I strive to produce for all my sites from now on. Nigenet v2.1. This site has been due for a redesign for sometime now. This is what I think it will look like. In fact, as soon as I've finished off the last few bits, this is what it will look like! Take a look and let me know what you think. Friends' Sites. Someone once said that from the internet, we will start to live in new communities - communities based not on location, but on ideas. Here is part of my community - still based largely on location, though! Michael Clement. This is my mate Mike's bid to get to grips with all this modern technowizzardry stuff. He is on a learning curve and occasionally asks me for help, advice or guidance (the poor deluded fool!), but he is pretty much going for it all himself. He has some wacky development tools (Web Dwarf?) and plenty of ideas. Still pretty much in development, but some very nice ideas so far... Bla-Bla-Bla. Many years ago, an organisation of musicians in Buxton came into being to perform a number of gigs in the Festival Fringe. They chose the name Bla-Bla-Bla (Buxton Local Artists). A couple of years ago this idea was revived and it survives to this day. My old school chum Ian took on the task of producing the web site, and here it is. If you want to know about music in Buxton, this is the place to go! Rob Gould. Long time friend and band-mate Rob built this site mainly to promote his recent soundtrack work.
Keel Over. Good old Watson Mailey has put what must be far too much spare time to good use and produced a pretty comprehensive study of local folk legends Keel Over, and all their roots and offshoots. A website to smoke your socks to? Maybe... Other Sites... Greenpeace Digital. This is the web site for Greenpeace UK. Learn about campaigns and take part in a variety of ways. GNU. More free software, vicar? Based on the concept of software being free (not just in monetary terms) and open source. The Guardian. The Grauniad on-line. This has been voted best UK Newspaper web site before now, and quite rightly so, IMHO. You can even cheat on the crossword! Google. What other search engine is there? Radio Paradise. An online radio station someone told me about shortly after I moved to broadband. They claim to play "Eclectic, intelligent rock". I haven't been disappointed yet...
