Employment.

June 2002 - Present Day. Admin Assistant. Health & Safety Executive. Working on large scale file transfer project at EECS (Electrical Equipment Certification Service) based at Health & Safety Buxton.

Feb 2002 - Apr 2002. Casual Revenue Assistant. Inland Revenue. Worked in the Macclesfield office. Mainly 'weeding' files. Issuing forms and processing returned information.

2001 - 2002. Self Employed. Occasional contract work in web design and software development.

1998 - 2000. Software Developer. Linklaser Limited. Development work on SCADA system. Originally employed as a C programmer, I was soon required to cross-train to Java to develop a new product line. This involoved reproducing the SCADA database's management tools in Java using JFC/Swing to produce platform independant access to and control of the database across networks - including internet. Used MMI RAD Tool to develop graphical front ends for customer applications to display real-time and historical trended data. Produced Company's web site using Microsoft Frontpage, raw HTML and a small amount of PERL CGI. Worked mainly in UNIX environments (Sun Solaris and Compaq Tru 64 UNIX), and performed to ISO 9001 and ISO 9000-3 (TickIT) quality assurance standards.

1997 - 1998. Volunteer Office Assistant. The Office of Tom Levitt MP. General office work, eg. filing, photocopying, word processing, taking telephone calls. Evaluation and input of constituents' casework details onto computer system.

1989 - 1996. General Assistant. Aircrew Inflatables Limited. Employed at all levels of manufacture and repair of children's inflatable play equipment.

1988 - 1989. Temp. Worker. Buxton Mineral Water. Temporary shop floor worker in a mineral water bottling plant.

Pastimes & Hobbies.

Music. Play in local band. Produced web site for band at the same time as learning HTML (www.fula.co.uk). Currently developing a new site using Macromedia Dreamweaver 3. Previously managed Gig List section of BURBs (British Underground Rock Bands) web site.

Environment Issues. Member of - and Group Contact / Press Officer for - local Greenpeace Campaign Group. Organise Street & Pub Collections and other fund-raising events, campaign stalls, etc. Developing web site for Derbyshire Greenpeace groups (www.derbyshire-greenpeace.org.uk).
